„Pamięć o zniszczeniu Świątyni jest wyryta w świadomości narodu żydowskiego i skłania nas co roku do stawiania nie łatwych pytań na temat sprawiedliwości Boskiego sądu, życia i śmierci, prawdy i sedna wiary… Prywatna żałoba człowieka w Tisz’a Be’Aw dotyka punktu połączenia między jednostką a społeczeństwem i staje się nieodłączną częścią żałoby narodowej.
Nieogarniona strata struktury naszego życia w czasach starożytnych – zniszczenie Świątyni, wokół którego ukształtowała się izraelska kultura jaką znamy dzisiaj, jest jednym ze spajających wątków naszej tożsamości. W tej przestrzeni 'Doliny Łez’, w której znajdujemy się podczas czytania Megilat Eicha (Księgi Lamentacji) jesteśmy bliżsi zrozumienia rzeczy, których nie słyszymy podczas wyścigu życia; w tej wrażliwej przestrzeni ścieżek duchowych jesteśmy w stanie zbliżyć się do istoty rzeczy, zbadać do głębi, usłyszeć i połączyć, nauczyć się i dokonać koniecznej naprawy.”

The memory of the destruction of the Temple is engraved in the consciousness of the Jewish people and leads us every year to pose difficult questions about God’s justice, life and death, truth and faith… On the 9th of Av private mourning touches the connection point between the individual and society and becomes an inseparable part of national mourning.
Incomprehensible loss of structure of our lives in the ancient times – the destruction of the Temple, the tragic event around which Israeli culture was shaped as we know it today, is one of the binding threads of our identity. In this space of the 'Valley of Tears’ in which we find ourselves reading Megilat Eikha (Book of Lamentations) we are closer to understanding things that we do not hear during the race of life; in this sensitive space of spiritual paths we are able to get closer to the essence of things, to explore in-depth, to hear and unite, to learn and make the necessary tikkun.
